Alton Towers Resort to open CBeebies themed hotel
The new 76-bedroom CBeebies Land Hotel, which will open alongside the Alton Towers Hotel next summer, will feature bedrooms themed to shows from the BBC channel, a dedicated entertainment area, restaurant and CBeebies Bugbie-themed reception.
Standard bedrooms will feature CBeebies Bugbies decor while premium rooms will be themed to specific shows such as Something Special and Swashbuckle. All bedrooms will have separate areas for children and parents with a children's entertainment wall and activity tables and will include toddler-friendly features such as bathroom steps to the sink, children's toilet seats, baby baths and cots.
Gill Riley, marketing director at Alton Towers Resort, said the hotel would provide an extra experience for visitors to CBeebies Land, which opened at the Staffordshire theme park in 2014.
“The CBeebies Land Hotel is a hugely exciting new development for us and there will be nowhere else like it. With an existing range of unique accommodation and the amazing CBeebies Land already here at the Resort, combining the two is going to create a fully themed hotel experience where everything is exclusively designed for young families.
"Little ones will be mesmerised with the sounds, colours, entertainment and of course their favourite characters that will feature throughout the hotel. Families really will be able to spend an amazing short break immersed in the world of CBeebies."
An entertainment programme will also run throughout the year including live shows and character meet and greets.
The hotel will be the third to open at Alton Towers and its fifth accommodation option. As well as the resort's eponymous hotel, it hosts the Splash Landings Hotel. Self-catering accommodation is comprised of Enchanted Village Woodland Lodges and Luxury Treehouses.
