Champagne house Maison Ruinart has launched Dom Ruinart 04 - the latest vintage of its prestige Blanc de Blancs cuvée - to the UK market.

Product details:

Dom Ruinart 04 is the first vintage of the Blanc de Blancs cuvee to be launched in the UK since 2012.

It was produced grapes sourced exclusively from Grands Crus sites - 69 per cent from the Côte des Blancs – predominantly from Chouilly, Avize and Le Mesnil – and 3 per cent from the northern slope of the Montagne de Reims - predominantly Sillery and Puisieulx.

USP:

Exceptionally shallow topsoils in the grape growing areas mean the vines grow on pure chalk, with optimum drainage and mineral content. This underlying minerality gives the Dom Ruinart 04 a silky directness, delicate structure and outstanding freshness, making it suitable for complementing dishes such as sea bream ceviche or lobster carpaccio

Availability:

Available through distributors. For more information visit www.ruinart.com/

Why you should buy it:

Frédéric Panaïotis, Ruinart Cellar Master commented: “We are very excited to release the latest vintage of this exceptional cuvée to the UK market. With almost ten years of bottle age, the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2004 displays characteristic richness and focus, and is showing very nicely already, but I believe it has the potential to age beautifully for many years to come.”
