Hospitality Assured, the quality standard created by the Institute of Hospitality (IOH), has released a free app which gives business owners and operators the chance to analyse their levels of customer service.

Product details:

The app enables business owners to conduct a snapshot self-assessment of their business's performance in areas such as customer research, business planning, the customer promise and service delivery.

Users from customer-facing businesses of all sizes can answer a series of questions before the receive a score and see how they performed against a sample of Hospitality Assured clients from their sector.

The process takes 10-15 minutes and gives operators the chance to learn more about their business and the work of Hospitality Assured.

USP:

Owned and operated by the IOH, the Hospitality Assured standard is designed to represent service and business excellence.

It is used by more than 130 accredited businesses representing some 3,500 trading outlets.

Availability:

The app is available to download onto a smartphone from Apple's App Store and from Google's Play Store.

Price:

The app is free to download and use.

Why should you use it?

Ann Corrigan, managing director of Hospitality Assured, said: "As businesses confront rising costs and ever more demanding guests, having an objective measure of customer service is more important than ever.

"Using our App may even help you relax while you are on the bus, train or plane, but it will undoubtedly give you food for thought," she added.
