Parogon Group has reported strong sales growth over the past financial year.

The Midlands-based pub and restaurant operator says that total sales rose by 10.9% on 2023's figures to £24m for the year ending 30 June 2024.

Like-for-like sales rose 3.5%, while group EBITDA before pre-opening costs were £1.9m - up from £0.7m last year. Site-level profits increased by £1.2m to £4.6m, with operating margins improving 1.5%, supported by capital investment of £3.1m.

Parogon operates venues including The Swan With Two Necks, The Wayfarer, The Orange Tree (pictured), The Boars Head, The Broughton, and Willow. The group says it is focused on expanding its Willow brand, with Willow Trentham site seeing an “exceptional year” and growing covers by 3.6% despite cost of living pressures.

Willow Telford site is set to open in September, with additional locations currently in legal stages.

“Despite a challenging economic environment, I’m delighted that Parogon has had a successful year, growing our sales and adding a new site to our portfolio," says Richard Colclough, managing director and co-founder of Parogon Group.

"Our team’s dedication and our loyal guests have been key to our success. The foundations we’ve laid this year will help us open new sites more rapidly.

"We’re excited about the future and optimistic about continued growth, especially if economic conditions improve.”
