Korean QSR brand Bunsik has taken a site on Wardour Street in London’s Chinatown for its next opening in the capital.

The 900sq ft site will be the Korean corn dog specialist’s sixth London site and its seventh overall in the UK.

Bunsik is owned by Maguro Group and launched its first site on Charing Cross Road in 2021 having become a hit on social media.

It has subsequently launched London sites in Camden, Embankment, Westfield Stratford, and Earl’s Court, as well as a site in Manchester.

Bunsik’s Chinatown site will be located next door to Korean BBQ restaurant Pochawa Grill, which is also owned by Maguro Group.

The menu will showcase Korean street food including Korean-style corn dogs, also known as K-Dogs, as well as Korean fried chicken, ddukbokki, and kimbap.

“We are immensely proud of what Bunsik has accomplished since the inception of the concept, and we are delighted to be bringing the brand into one of the UK’s most significant cultural hubs,” says Jae Cho, director of Maguro Group.

“Bunsik was founded off the back of popular trends across the ESEA (East and Southeast Asia) region and it is flattering to see that Chinatown London, with its rich history in partnering with iconic and authentic restaurants, has chalked out space for us to sit alongside Pochawa Grill, and amongst other great concepts in the destination.”

Maguro Group also owns Bullgogi in Notting Hill and Gogi in Maida Vale.
