The former Pantechnicon site in London’s Belgravia will relaunch this Autumn comprising two restaurants and a cocktail bar.

Rebranded 19 Motcomb Street, the imposing stucco-fronted building will be home to Japanese restaurant concept SACHI, Provençale restaurant Amélie and LUUM, a Latin American inspired bar and lounge that intertwines ‘mixology with music and extravaganza’.

On the second floor and also 19 Motcomb Street’s rooftop, SACHI will have a 62-cover dining room with a omakase table overlooking a bustling open kitchen. The rooftop element of SACHI will seat 115 and will be heated with a retractable ceiling.

The menu will be focused on kappo ryori – meaning to cut and to cook - which is billed as a refined, multi-course menu using seasonal ingredients.

SACHI has a presence in Milan, with a similar restaurant having opened in the Italian city earlier this year.

Amélie, meanwhile, will have 111 covers a will inhabit the building’s ground floor and mezzanine (it will also have a 58-cover terrace on Motcomb Street).

Led by head chef Steve Raveneau (formerly of The Arts Club), the kitchen will serve up ‘bold Mediterranean flavours’ and will also offer an exclusive caviar menu.

Amélie will also have an extensive wine list, curated by Erik Simonics, head of wine and beverage for 19 Motcomb Street, which includes a walk-in wine room housing up to 2000 bottles.

LUUM will have 88 covers including four snugs, each which seat up to 15 guests, a late-night license and will feature a schedule of live music acts throughout the week.

Led by General Manager Stefano Chila (most recently at Chiltern Firehouse) the venue will offer ‘meticulously crafted cocktails’.

Pantechnicon launched in 2020 as a Japanese and Nordic-inspired retail and dining space that featured both a Nordic restaurant and a Japanese restaurant as well as Café Kitsuné.

It closed for refurbishment in late 2021 at the time saying it would relaunch in 2024.
