Gordon Ramsay Restaurants to reopen Pizza East Shoreditch on 15 March
Pizza East's flagship restaurant in London's Shoreditch will reopen next week following the brand's recent acquisition by the Gordon Ramsay group.

Reservations are for the restaurant are now live, with the doors officially opening on 15 March.

It comes after BigHospitality revealed last month that Gordon Ramsay Restaurants had acquired the intellectual property for the Pizza East brand, as well as the group's original site, which is housed within The Tea Building in Shoreditch.

The deal sees Pizza East leave the Soho House stable after 14 years and marks the first time that the Gordon Ramsay Group has acquired an already-existing restaurant brand in the UK.

BigHospitality understands that Pizza East will be positioned as a more elevated counterpoint to Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza, which operates eight sites across the UK in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh and offers a menu of bottomless pizza for a flat price.

Pizza East will reopen with a 'refreshed' menu with new dishes including an 'nduja and honey pizza; and rigatoni alla vodka.

“Our restaurant group and the Soho House Group have always had a great relationship, as colleagues, friends, and leaders in hospitality,” says Andy Wenlock, CEO at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants.

“Pizza East is a brand that is and will continue to be, cherished for years to come, as well as sitting proudly in our portfolio offering great food and great service to all our guests.”

Soho House closed Pizza East Shoreditch back in January, having already permanently shuttered its only other site, in Notting Hill, back in December. The restaurants originally opened in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

Gordon Ramsay's UK estate is primarily based in the capital and includes a number of singular, high-end restaurants such as the three Michelin-starred fine-dining flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea and Petrus in Belgravia, alongside several growing brands such as Street Pizza, Street Burger, and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.
