Jamie Oliver expands presence in India
The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group and franchise partner Dolomite are set to open four more branches of Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria in India before the end of the year.

The new branches will include locations in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and the Viviana Mall in Maharashtra, the latter of which opens this week.

It will bring the total number of outlets in India to 15 by the end of the year.

Looking ahead to 2022, Jamie’s will also launch in a range of Indian cities including across the Punjab as well as in Ahmedabad and Goa, with a view to reaching 20 sites across the Indian subcontinent by March.

Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria launched in India in 2015.

The pizzas are made using 'traditional', slow-proved Neapolitan dough, and features a range of international toppings including tomato sauce, mozzarella, bacon, red onion and chilli flakes; and spicy paneer, hot and sour peppers and crispy ginger.

A range of salads, pastas and sides are also available.

Ed Lofus, Restaurant Group Director for the Jamie Oliver Group, said: “Our incredible pizzas and versatile menu offers something for everyone, and we are delighted that diners across India have responded so brilliantly.

"Dolomite is a fantastic partner and India continues to be a key growth market for us, with plans for further openings next year and beyond already well under way.”

Alongside India, Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria has locations in four other countries including Portugal, Hungary, and the UAE.

Oliver has continued expanding his international restaurant arm in the years since his UK restaurant group collapsed.

Last week the chef revealed in an interview with the Radio Times that he did eventually plan to return to the UK scene.

He said: “I’m watching for now, but I’ll definitely get back in the game.”
