Four restaurants sign up for London's White City Place
Greek restaurant The Athenian, New York-style concept Pizza Street, Italian grab-and-go site Coco di Mama and American bakery Butterscotch will move in to the WestWorks building before the end of this year.
It will be the first west London site for The Athenian, which began life as a street food pop-up in 2014 and is run by two Londoners raised in Athens and Cyprus.
Pizza Street will launch their second restaurant following the opening of their debut Chiswick site in 2015. Diners will be able to order pizzas by the slice, barbecue grilled chicken, craft beers and milkshakes.
Butterscotch Bakery is the brainchild of Bea Vo, founder of the Bea’s of Bloomsbury cafe chain, and will offer American-style layered cakes, peanut butter brownies, cheesecakes and cupcakes inspired by Vo’s upbringing in Washington D.C.
Coco di Mama will also launch its 18th grab-and-go site at the development, serving pasta, coffee and Italian-style lunches.
The White City Place site was previously owned by the BBC but was bought by developer Stanhope and landowners AIMCo and Mitsui Fudosan for £87m in June 2015.
Luxury fashion site Net-A-Porter and The Royal College of Art are opening offices at the development, while ITV is moving the production units for Good Morning Britain and The Jonathan Ross Show to the site.
