Ex-restaurateur creates Dinnertime Dramas for restaurants, hotels and pubs
Product details:
The Pop-up Theatre Company has been created by George Drever, a former restaurateur turned professional actor, who said he saw a gap in the market for something 'genuinely fresh and exciting' for customers at hotels, restaurants, pubs and other hospitality venues. His 'Dinnertime Dramas' consist of two plays performed by professional actors within a secluded area or specific room. There is no stage and minimal props which means the company can perform in fairly small spaces and at short notice. Plays take place before or after dining and are designed for venues wanting to offer an entertainment package to their customers with minimal effort.
USP:
Dinnertime Dramas are designed to add an extra revenue stream to a restaurateur, hotelier or publican's offering without them having to do much. Drever has employed working actors with screen and stage experience who can perform 'whenever and wherever wanted'. "There are no sets to build, so we can perform at short notice," said Drever. "All that's needed is a little advance promotion by the venue. We don't perform while the guests are dining, only before or after. We turn up, perform, and exit with no fuss or disruption, leaving the guests to enjoy the rest of their evening's hospitality."
Cost:
A fixed fee of £395 for both plays, plus travel (The company is based in Scotland).

Why you should buy it:
"It's a constant challenge to find new and interesting options for customers," said Drever. "Hotels and restaurants are always looking for something different to attract business. Events such as murder mysteries have become commonplace, but they don't suit every venue.
"Our plays are carefully chosen to be entertaining, thought-provoking and challenging - everything good theatre should be. It makes drama accessible and appealing even to customers who wouldn't normally dream of going to the theatre."
