Zwilling launches TruClad range of pans designed for induction cooking
Product details:
The pans consist of three layers - a stainless steel interior, an aluminium core and a magnetic stainless steel exterior. The manufacturer has said this combination provides a better cooking performance as well as a strong design and high-gloss finish.
The strong, flat base of the pans ensures full contact with the induction heat.
Ergonomic, V-shaped handles are made from 18/10 stainless steel - a type of steel which contains chromium and nickel and is often used in cookware and cutlery.
USP:
Designed purely with induction in mind, the TruClad pan's aluminium core eliminates the risk of hot spots in the pan. The handles are hollow cast from stainless steel and stay cool to the touch while on an induction hob.
Availability:
The TruClad pans come in three sizes - all the Zwilling products are available direct from the manufacturer by visiting the online shop on the company's website.
Price:
Three-piece sets cost £165 - individual pans cost £45.
Why should you buy it?
A statement from the Germany-based company read: "10 years ago, induction was a rarity in the kitchen. But times are changing – last year one in four hobs sold was an induction hob. As design and energy efficiency become increasingly desirable in the modern kitchen Zwilling J.A. Henckels offers the perfect pans for induction cooking.
"The interior of a TruClad pan is made from the highest grade of stainless steel there is, so it easy to clean, scratch resistant and does not absorb flavour from your food," the statement added.
