By royal approval: The Goring hotel receives Royal Warrant from The Queen

The Beeston Place venue, just a stones throw from Buckingham Palace, has received a Royal Warrant of appointment to The Queen for hospitality services, it was announced this week.

The Goring was opened in 1910 by Otto Goring and the business continues to be family-run award-winning hotelier Jeremy Goring​ currently heading up the venue's management team.

"To be able to display Her Majesty’s coat of arms is something that the staff will be enormously proud of. Without doubt this is the most important recognition their work could ever receive. It is made all the more special for us because I believe this is the first Royal Warrant The Queen has ever granted to an hotel," said Jeremy Goring this week.

The warrant acknowledges 'a satisfactory trading arrangement' between a company and the grantor of the warrant - any company can apply for one once they have supplied goods or services to either The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh or The Prince of Wales for at least five years.

There are just 800 Royal Warrant holders, they normally hold the title for five years and they can claim to be a preferred company of the Royal Family.
