Stoneleigh Park uses portable hotel concept to more than double its size

Stoneleigh Park is the first exhibition and events venue in the UK to have installed Snoozebox – a new transportable modular accommodation concept which has allowed the hotel to increase the number of its bedrooms from 58 to 138, in just two days.

Situated next to Stoneleigh Park’s existing four-star guest hotel, Snoozebox offers secure, modern bedrooms along with all the features of a conventional hotel including reception services, daily housekeeping and a 24-hour duty manager.

“When we were increasingly finding our existing on-site hotel accommodation fully booked, Snoozebox provided an ideal flexible and immediate solution to the growing demand,” Ian Pegler, chief executive of Stoneleigh Park, which already has over 200,000 sq.ft of indoor space.

“We have a reputation for being an extremely versatile venue, and with so much indoor and outdoor space we can often do what other venues can’t. We are thrilled with the high spec accommodation and are sure our event organisers and visitors will be too. Indeed, as well as catering for existing clients, hopefully it will now attract  more organisers to consider Stoneleigh Park for their events."

Snoozebox units have previously been used to support specific events, such as the British Grand Prix and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Each room has its own thermostat and air conditioning, featuring a double bed together with a single bed, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and a safe. The en-suite wet room comprises a power shower, toilet and wash basin.

Robert Breare, CEO at Snoozebox, added: “We are delighted to have installed the first ever Snoozebox at an exhibition and conference venue.  The accommodation is of a 4-star specification and provides a comfortable, secure base for event visitors with all the mod cons.”
