Imperial introduces Cambro Camcart food transporter to UK

The Cambro Camcart was first showcased at Hotelympia 2012 and is now available to foodservice businesses in the UK.
The range includes two sizes of trolley and a pan carrier which all provide a 45-minute preheat time from room temperature - all of which are designed for restaurants or chefs catering for large volume off-premise and satellite events or meals served in difficult locations. The largest cabinet or trolley can accommodate 16 full-size deep pans or 720 servings.
The heat temperature range of 65°-74°C heat does not cook the food, but helps maintain moisture. Vertical vents constantly circulate heat from front to back for consistent temperature in the unit which can recover in three minutes when the door is opened for 30 seconds. The temperature will also be maintained for up to four hours in transportation when the unit is unplugged.
USP:
The unit is made of polyethylene with polyurethane foam insulation to keep heat in while keeping the exterior cool making it extremely energy efficient. The energy star-qualified product uses less energy than three standard 100-Watt light bulbs.
Availability:
Three sizes are available in the Cambro range from Imperial Catering Equipment. A heated, one-compartment pan carrier and two sizes of a two-compartment heated Camcart with castors.
Cost:
The pan carrier costs £840, while the Camcart costs £1945 or £3850 depending on the size purchased.
