Fallow group hires new MD as it hatches plans for more Fowl restaurants
The group behind London restaurants Fallow, Fowl, and Roe has hired Julia Gilbert as its new managing director as it looks to continue its expansion.

Gilbert joins the restaurant group from The Ivy Asia where she was operations director. She spent five years at the Richard Caring-backed company, helping to open its debut St Paul’s restaurant and its subsequent restaurants.

Writing on LinkedIn she said: “I am so grateful for the people that I have been lucky enough to work with especially those who supported me throughout my journey. There are far too many to thank… but I hope you all know who you are.

“I am immensely proud of the restaurant teams we have built and to each member, I thank you for your long hours/shifts day in day out, Asia would not be where it is without you.”

Gilbert’s appointment comes during a period of activity for Fallow. The group, which is led by founders James Robson, Jack Croft, and Will Murray, launched Roe, its largest restaurant to date earlier this year, and earlier this month announced that it had attained B Corp status.

The group is also on the lookout for more sites as part of its expansion plans.

Also writing on LinkedIn, Robson said he was looking for ‘signature’ sites of 6,000 to 15,000sq ft as well as a smaller QSR high footfall site for the Fowl concept.
