Burgeoning pizza group Fatto a Mano will open its sixth site this autumn, its third in the capital.

The group has taken on the former Sager + Wilde site in Bethnal Green to open a pizzeria, joining its London sites in Covent Garden and King’s Cross.

It comes of the back of the Neapolitan pizza restaurant group last month having secured investment from Middleton Enterprises to speed up its expansion over the next five years.

Founded by Rupert Davidson and Dav Sahota in Brighton in 2015, Fatto a Mano - which means ‘made by hand’ - operates one restaurant in Hove and two in Brighton alongside the London locations.

Its Neapolitan style pizzas are made fresh every day and are proved for 24 hours, which the groups says maximises both flavour and digestibility.

“We’re big fans of what [Sager + Wilde founder] Michael Sager has done for the hospitality industry, and for the Bethnal Green neighbourhood in particular,” says Sahota.

“We look forward to building relationships with our neighbours and the community when we open in the site this autumn.”

Earlier this year Fatto a Mano teamed up with Master Pizzaiolo Franco Pepe to serve 'the world's best pizza'.
