Global steakhouse Beefbar to open in Chelsea
Global steakhouse group Beefbar is opening its first restaurant on English soil with the launch of a restaurant in Chelsea.

Le Petit Beefbar will be split over two floors and will open on Cale street in November. The ground floor will feature a bar with space for 52 covers, with the first floor also having a lounge and bar, for 22 covers, as well as a 30-cover dining room. An 18-cover PDR will open at a later date.

The restaurant group was founded in Monte-Carlo in 2005 by Riccardo Giraudias an attempt to break away from what he thought were the classic and stiff codes of the steakhouse. The restaurants are typified by their bright and luxurious interiors that don’t follow traditional steakhouse design cues and feature street food dishes alongside steaks.

The menu at the London restaurant will be overseen by executive chef Thierry Paludetto and will feature meat cuts sourced from Australia, Japan and the US. Mains will include steak frites; filet frites; XL wagyu ribeye; a double cheeseburger; and tonkatsu Milanese with sides including crunchy cabbage salad & goma sesame dressing; truffle fries; and mashed potatoes.

It will also serve a Street Food to Share menu featuring the likes of jasmine tea smoked beef bao bun; croque sando - Le Petit Beefbar’s version of the croque monsieur, with dry-aged beef ribeye prosciutto, mozzarella and La Sauce Beefbar; three mini kobe beef shawarma; and vegan chorizo gyoza.

“In these tumultuous times for restaurateurs, I wanted to give some warmth, charm and cosiness to my favourite brand,” says Giraudi. “This spinoff is all about family and friends enjoying my comforting classics.”

Beefbar has restaurants across the world in locations including Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Malta, Hong King, Mexico, France and Brazil under brands including Relais Beefbar, Le Petit Beefbar and Beefbar on the Beach. It is opening a Beefbar in the City in Malta and a Relais Beefbar in Abidjan as well as a Leafbar in Monaco.
