Vapiano to reach nine UK restaurants this year
Vapiano is set to double its number of restaurants in London with three new openings this year.

The Italian-style group will open at the Centre Point development on Tottenham Court Road, followed by sites in Canary Wharf and the One Tower Bridge scheme.

The 10,000 sq ft, 280-cover Centre Point site will be the first to launch, with terrace seating facing Centre Point Square - a piazza with direct access to the new Crossrail station

The 311-cover Vapiano Tower Bridge will open in the summer, followed by a 284-cover two-storey Canary Wharf site in Cabot Square in August 2018.

Vapiano currently operates six UK restaurants: three in London, and one each in Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

“We are incredibly proud to have secured these three impressive new sites, which underlines our strategy to both open in high profile, high footfall locations and continue to grow our exceptional business within the UK,” says Phil Sermon, Vapiano managing director.

“Whilst we are announcing these three now, we expect to announce more in the next few months."

Once the new sites are open Vapiano will employ 600 staff across nine restaurants.

Vapiano was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 2002 and it has since opened over 205 restaurants in more than 33 countries.
