London ice skating rink Queens to re-open as Skate-Bowl-Dine

The 45,000 sq ft site at 17 Queensway is part of the Bourne Capital Group – which also includes Ronnie Scotts and the Old Vic theatre ‒ and has been completely renovated with design company Design LSM.

It will include restaurant Jimmy’s Diner from restaurateur and food writer Jimmy Garcia; two bars; 12 bowling lanes, and the ice rink.

Dishes at the diner – which overlooks the rink from a large seating area ‒ will include pulled pork with 18-hour braised BBQ pork shoulder, plus a build-your-own-burger, ‘Sticky Bangers’ honey and mustard-glazed sausages, and crispy chicken wings with sauces including peppercorn, hot, or ‘super-hot’.

The bars will offer a choice of craft beers, wines, and soft drinks, plus cocktails such as the Cockney Ladder with vodka, pear liqueur, and apple juice; and the Palace Garden, with gin, elderflower liqueur and mint.

There will also be classic arcade games, including Pac-Man, Asteroids, Point Blank and Space Invaders, alongside air hockey and table football.

Queens is part of the Bourne Capital Group, and first launched in 1930, before being renovated by Robert Bourne in 1994 with 12 bowling lanes. It is now owned by group managing director Ben Bourne.
