Chicken wing brand Wingers has opened five new franchised store openings this year as part of its plans to have 20 stores by the end of 2024 and 50 by 2028.

New restaurants include in Telford, Watford, West Bridgford, The Taproom on Harborne High Street in Birmingham, and Birmingham International train station.

As well as chicken tenders and wings Wingers’ menu includes the feast bowl - three chicken tenders with salad, slaw and fries - loaded jerk fries; mac ‘n’ cheese tenders; wraps; burger; and milkshakes.

Wingers was set up in June 20202 during the pandemic by brothers Amran and Dylan Sunner and their father Bill and was launched as a franchise in the autumn of 2022.

It currently operates 11 sites and is looking to expand across north east and north west of the country in cities including Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield as well as in Scotland.

“We have now put all the infrastructure in place including the right team members plus our own in-house marination facility and national marketing to ensure franchisees have everything they need to create a thriving Wingers franchised business of their own,” says Amran Sunner, co-founder and operations director of Wingers.

“We are now ready to take Wingers to new heights. Our goal is to open 50 stores within the next four years, so we are now looking to work with more QSR professionals and experienced business people to manage our planned pipeline of stores on a franchised basis in key development areas including the north east and north west, on the M1 and M6 corridors and in cities like Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield.

“We are also looking into expanding in Scotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow.”
