Buttermilk fried chicken concept Wingers has signed a 30 site development deal for West London and the Thames Valley.

Five experienced QSR investors will grow the brand, with at least two new stores are expected to open before the end of 2024.

Expansion will then ramp up, with potential locations including Windsor, Maidenhead, Chiswick, Ealing, Slough and Watford.

Tajinder Choongh is one of the five investors involved in the development deal and has experience as a fast food franchisee running Subway, Thai Express and Project D Doughnuts outlets.

He is also the Wingers’ franchisee for its Hednesford restaurant in Staffordshire.

“I’ve worked in the food industry for my entire career and have been waiting for the right business to take to the next level,” says Choongh.

“Wingers landed in my lap at the right time and offered the perfect opportunity. We will now work to develop a large territory which stretches from Watford to Wembley and into the Thames Valley.

“I love the Wingers’ fresh, quality food concept and eat it all the time! I got along with the founders really well from day one and a year in with the Hednesford Wingers and I’m now so passionate about this brand and excited for the future.”

Wingers was founded in 2020 by brothers Amran and Dylan Sunner.

This latest deal comes after Wingers announced its launch as a franchise back in August with ambitions to open 50 new sites in the next five years.

There are currently six Wingers restaurants open in the Midlands with seven more set to open in first half of next year with other franchise partners.

“It’s been an amazing year! We’ve successfully opened new restaurants and taken new franchisees under our wing,” says Amran.

“Now the West London and Thames Valley development deal sees our expansion take flight in and around the capital! We are excited to be working closely with our existing franchisee TJ and the other experienced QSR investors to grow the brand.

“Our like-minded, strong and supportive approach means that together, the sky’s the limit for Wingers.”
