Deliveroo has launched a new invite-only loyalty programme called Plus Diamond, which it says will ‘provide enhanced service and greater selection for its top customers’.

Costing £19.99 a month, Plus Diamond members will receive priority delivery on every order and an on-time delivery guarantee giving customers the full order value back as credit if it arrives more than 10 minutes late.

They will also have a direct line to a dedicated customer care team; an elevated in-app user experience; and 10% of their basket total back in Deliveroo credit on orders over £30.

The premium service will also give customers access to exclusive partners, including Vori, Lavo, IZAKAYA at Dreams, Min Jiang, Hedonism Wines, and The Black Farmer, with further exclusive partnerships to be announced shortly.

“We know how central delivery is to the lifestyle of our top customers, so we have designed Plus Diamond to enhance the areas that are most important to our highest frequency customers across selection, speed, care and more - delivering our best possible service,” says Abi Horner, product director of loyalty at Deliveroo.

“With priority delivery on every order, a very generous on time promise and a ring-fenced care team, we believe that Plus Diamond is the strongest service proposition available in our industry.”

Additionally, Plus Diamond members will be invited to a calendar of food events, and gain access to discounted tickets for table&candle and Sessions Live events.

There will also be a series of Diamond Only events available, hosted by experiences platform Sera, such as an exclusive evening with chef John Javier, and pasta-making classes led by the chefs at Pasta Evangelists.

“Plus Diamond is our most exclusive subscription yet and provides our top customers with a whole host of fantastic benefits from premium delivery and a direct line to dedicated customer care agents, to credit back and bespoke events,” says Will Shu, CEO of Deliveroo.

“Put simply, it will be the best way to get the most out of Deliveroo.”

Deliveroo has also announced improved benefits for Plus Gold members this month, with new perks to include 10% credit back on every eligible order over £30; special discounts, offers and free items from their local favourites; and the option to claim £5 back as credit if their order arrives later than expected.
