Leon is bringing the fight to Pret a Manger in the coffee sector with the launch of what it says is the UK’s cheapest high street coffee subscription.

The healthy fast food chain has created Roast Rewards, where for £25 a month subscribers can receive up to five barista-made drinks a day along with a 20% discount on its breakfast and all-day food menu - excluding meal deals.

Eligible food for a discount includes breakfast porridges, muffins, egg pots, grilled wraps, salads, burgers, and rice boxes as well as cakes and pastries.

Customers can also collect bonus loyalty points that are awarded upon subscribing, and on each renewal.

“We’re so excited to unveil the UK’s most affordable coffee subscription,” says Mac Plumpton, Leon MD.

“Get ready for a service packed with flavour, value and great coffee. At LEON we’re all about providing exceptional experiences at an unbeatable value.”

The offer goes head to head with Pret a Manger and its popular coffee subscription model Club Pret, where for £30 a month subscribers also get up to five barista-made drinks a day and 20% off its entire menu.

Pret launched its coffee subscription YourPret Barista back in September 2020 with a monthly subscription costing just £20 for five drinks.

The company later rose the price to £25 and last year it rebranded the service to Club Pret with the price rising again, to £30 per month.
