JKS Restaurants will bring its Persian restaurant brand Berenjak to Los Angeles next week.

Within Soho House in the California city’s Arts District, Berenjak LA will be the first public restaurant JKS has launched stateside.

Earlier this year, Berenjak launched a two-year residency at Dumbo House in New York, but the restaurant is open to Soho House members only.

The launches are the beginning of a major transatlantic push for JKS, which is overseen by siblings Karam, Jyotin and Sunaina Sethi.

Later this year, the group will bring its Ambassadors Clubhouse and Gymkhana restaurants to New York and Las Vegas respectively.

Launched in Soho in 2018 (pictured above) by JKS and chef Kian Samyani, Berenjak is now JKS Restaurants’ biggest brand.

When the LA site launches, Berenjak will have a total of nine sites: three in the UK, two in the US and four in the Middle East.

The restaurant is inspired by Samyani’s childhood trips to Iran and family recipes.

The menu is focused on kebabs, with other options including zereshk polow ba morgh (a whole rotisserie chicken with saffron sauce, barberries, rice and Shirazi salad) and a wide selection of mezze dishes.
