Mediterranean restaurant brand Nammos has secured the Mayfair site that was once home to Il Borro Tuscan Bistro for its second UK restaurant project.

The ADMO Lifestyle Holding-owned brand entered the London market in 2022 with a short-lived restaurant in Knightsbridge.

Founded in Mykonos in 2003, Nammos Group operates sites in Limassol, Dubai and Cannes.

It is understood that ADMO Lifestyle Holding retains the Knightsbridge site and may reopen it at some point.

Nammos offers Mediterranean cuisine with pan-Asian influences and sources most of its seafood from the Aegean coast.

“We are delighted to introduce Nammos to London, marking our first urban venture for the brand. Establishing our presence in Mayfair, the heart of upscale dining and vibrant city life, represents an exciting milestone for us,” says ADMO Lifestyle Holding CEO Sanjay Nandi.

“We are eager to bring the extraordinary Mediterranean flair of the Nammos experience to the discerning London audience and contribute to the dynamic culinary scene in this incredible city that I call my home.”

Zannis Fratzeskos, co-founder of Nammos, added: “Following the grand opening of Nammos Cannes in the glamorous French Riviera this year, we are excited to extend the Nammos magic to London. Mayfair, with its dynamic energy, sophistication and historic charm, will be the ideal stage for our next adventure. We cannot wait to infuse the heart of London with the same vibrant atmosphere and exquisite Mediterranean gastronomy that has defined Nammos in Mykonos and beyond.”

A spokesperson for Il Borro Tuscan Bistro - which launched in 2021 and closed earlier this month - says it ‘remains dedicated to the London market’ and will continue to explore new opportunities within the city.
