Salad bar brand Tossed is seeking franchise partners under plans to grow its footprint nationwide.

The group, which operates 13 sites across central London, said it is ready to welcome franchise partners ‘to share in its innovative tech-led approach and scale around the country’.

“We have created a concept in London that resonates with guests who want to eat something fresh, filling and healthy,” says Neil Sebba, managing director and co-owner of Tossed.

“As we look around the country, we see huge demand for a healthy alternative in the quick-service fast-food market, and strongly believe that Tossed is ideally positioned to solve this.”

Sebba, who acquired Tossed out of administration with fellow co-owner Angelina Harrisson back in 2020, adds that prospective partners will need to be ambitious on their growth plans and have extremely high operating standards.

The group has chosen to work with Andy Hulbert of Bee Smart on its proposals.

“With his support, we have developed a fully-supported offering designed to support the onboarding of new partners, the acquisition of new stores, a robust training programme, and launch marketing,” says Hulbert.

“We look forward to welcoming our first new partners in due course.”

Tossed was founded by Vincent McKevitt and opened its first site in Paddington in 2005.

Speaking to The Observer last yearto , Sebba revealed that Tossed was expected to turn a profit in its 2024 financial year for the first time since it went bust.

At the time he said revenues were expected to hit more than £9m, up from £7.4m last year.
