Persian restaurant brand Berenjak is to open a third London site later this year in Mayfair.

The group, which is backed by JKS Restaurants, has secured a site on the corner of Duke Street and Brown Hart Gardens.

It announced its plans in a post on Instagram over the Christmas period.

The site is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment and is expected to open in either the spring or the summer.

Berenjak, which was developed and is led by chef Kian Samyani, opened its first restaurant in Soho in 2018 and launched a second site in Borough in 2022.

The group also operates an offshoot called Little Berenjak within Soho House’s Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton.

More recently Berenjak has expanded internationally with an outpost in Dubai’s Dar Wasl district, which opened in late 2023.

It has also established a foothold in the US with a residency within Soho House’s DUMBO House in Brooklyn, New York, which launched in November and is set to run for at least two years.

In December 2023, Restaurant reported that JKS was eyeing expansion into the US market and ‘actively exploring’ opportunities in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

JKS’s London-based portfolio includes singular high-end restaurants such as Gymkhana, Lyle’s and Kitchen Table, as well as expanding brands such as Berenjak, BAO and Hoppers.
