High-profile Leeds restaurant Swine that Dines will move from the city centre to a larger site in the suburb of Headingley next month.

Following the location change, the restaurant – which is run by chef couple Jo and Stu Myers - will be known as Swine Bistro.

The new Otley Road site will have 35 covers in the main dining room – around double that of the original – as well as a private dining room with an additional 12 covers.

The restaurant, which opened as the Greedy Pig cafe in 2012 before being transformed into a restaurant in 2014, beat its crowdfunding target last summer raising £42,000 to help fund its move to a bigger venue.

“We were hugely humbled by the support we had helping us raise the money to fund our next chapter,” Jo says. “We are beyond excited about finally moving into a bigger restaurant with a kitchen that has space we can actually move in. Headingley is a vibrant suburb full of brilliant independent bars, restaurants, cafes and shops and we’re proud to be joining them

The new restaurant will stay true to its roots with a seasonal menu of bistro dishes using local produce with pairings of wines sourced from Latitude Wines.

The new Swine Bistro will welcome back its first ever head chef, Kirsty Cheetham, who will work alongside executive chef, Stu.

Stu added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Kirsty to our team and working collaboratively to develop unique and exciting dishes that tantalise our guests’ taste buds.”
