The new owner will open a new site in central London in the first quarter of next year as part of its plans to grow the business.
Bababoom was founded by Eve Bugler, Travis Fish, and Jono Jenkins in Battersea in 2016. It opened and closed a site in Islington and now operates a restaurant in Westfield Stratford alongside the Battersea original.
Writing on Linkedin Bugler, who is COO at Loungers, said: “I’ve learned so much through the journey and made friendships that will last a lifetime. Thank you in particular to all our investors for their support and to Graham Ford and Nicola Khan who have acted with true Bababoom spirit of high energy, decency and determination in the last eight weeks to make the deal a reality.”
Bababoom’s menu includes mezze items such as chargrilled garlic za’atar flatbread, sweet potato hummus; halloumi fries; and chargrilled cauliflower alongside a kebab menu that includes chicken shish; super green falafel; beef brisket; and crispy halloumi; power bowls; and grilled items served with curly fries, chargrilled flatbread and salad.
According to Bugler, the brand has served nearly one million kebabs since its launch.
Brand Bae operates a portfolio of virtual brands including Tiger Thai, Texcoco and Karma Oriental, which is supplies to restaurant, hotel and pub operators with surplus kitchen space.
