Savills is marketing the Ribble Valley property, which houses Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s Michelin-starred Northcote restaurant, with no guide price listed.
According to the hotel’s listing on Rightmove, Northcote Manor had a total turnover in excess of £6.5m in 2023.
Northcote is currently owned by Britannia Hospitality, the operator behind the Stafford Collection, which acquired the business five years ago.
"We are looking to move forward with the wider development of Northcote and its facilities, and we are looking for a new long-term investor who wants to take the work The Stafford started to the next level,” Northcote’s managing director, Craig Bancroft, told Lancs Live.
News of the sale follows the unveiling of plans earlier this year for a new high-end restaurant to be built on Northcote’s grounds and for the hotel’s current Michelin-starred restaurant to be transformed into a more ‘simplistic and affordable’ brasserie.
Both restaurants will be overseen by Goodwin-Allen.
Bancroft added that the sale would not affect the hotel and restaurant’s operations.
“All bookings are secure and the whole team, led by myself, executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen and the senior team will continue to drive the standards and the passion that we always have and collectively we look forward to a positive future.”
Northcote is currently ranked at number 74 on the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 list.
