Edgbaston-based pizzeria Smoke and Ash has doubled in size
Edgbaston-based pizzeria Smoke + Ash has doubled in size after extending into its neighbouring site.

Owners Clare and Paul Collins have knocked through into what used be Lux Gallery to add more covers to cope with high demand for its Neapolitan style pizzas.

The pair say the move will mean they will be able to accommodate more customers throughout the week and that eventually they will create a separate lounge and a private dining space ‘so you can take a little longer enjoying that glass of wine or cocktail’.

It will also mean the restaurant will be able to seat more walk ins and pre booked larger tables, as well as provide a flexible space that can be used for group bookings or private events and parties, they say.

"We’ve made over 60k pizzas in our little kitchen and we’re ready to make even more for you we head towards winter and of course the festive period," they say.

"Which means we’ll be able to handle even bigger Christmas parties."

The duo launched Smoke + Ash in the upmarket Birmingham suburb of Edgbaston in 2022 after discovering that there were no decent pizza options available to them for delivery where they lived in Birmingham.

Speaking to Restaurant at the end of last year, the pair revealed that they were in talks with their landlord in taking over the adjoining space.

They also said they plan to open more sites, with the ultimate aim of operating three or four restaurants located around the Midlands.
