Limor and Amir Chen to launch Delamina Townhouse Eastern Mediterranean restaurant in Covent Garden
Delamina owners Limor and Amir Chen will launch a third London restaurant at the end of next month.

The 110-cover Delamina Townhouse is set to open on 28 October on Covent Garden’s Tavistock Street and will join Delamina in Marylebone and Delamina East in Shoreditch.

Limor is billed as the creative force behind the restaurants’ menu, drawing ‘eclectic heritage to deliver a menu that combines bold Eastern Mediterranean flavours with a health-conscious approach, and a focus on grilling and roasting complemented by the fragrant herbs and spices of the region’.

The menu at the new site will include classic Delamina dishes such as charred cauliflower with lemon-infused crème fraiche, pomegranate molasses and seeds; beef shawarma with dates and pine kernels, salad of house pickles, vegetables, herbs and tahini; and Kadayif nest of vanilla cheesecake cream, caramelised pecans and orange peel reduction.

New dishes will include arak-cured sea trout, mixed herbs and foamed labneh; za’atar-marinated seafood on the plancha with golden beetroot aioli; herby venison koftas, pistachio cream and barberries; and a parfait of candied macadamia nuts and Irish cream.

Set in a Grade-II listed Georgian townhouse, the restaurant will comprise multiple dining areas, including a generous dining bar, two drawing rooms with fireplaces, and several private dining spaces, as well as a small outdoor terrace.

Amir – who is the co-founder of the Apostrophe bakery chain – and Limor launched Delamina in 2018.

“Limor and I have been searching for several years for the perfect site that will allow us to develop a further expression of the Delamina cooking style and hospitality. When we came across this beautiful townhouse in Covent Garden it was love at first site; the light-filled interiors, period features and, of course, the central location, immediately appealed to us and naming it Delamina Townhouse was a natural impulse,” Amir says.

“We can’t wait to bring our cuisine to this vibrant part of London, with its eclectic mix of local residents, businesses, tourists and theatre goers. We’ve loved developing the menu and space of this new sister to our restaurant family, bringing exciting dishes alongside all-time favourites in a beautifully designed environment.”
