Matt Willdigg, Alex Blamire, and Oli Martin are transforming their Longridge bistro in Preston into a pizza restaurant.

From next month Fell Bistro will become Oh! Pizza, a new Neapolitan-style pizzeria.

It follows the success of the trio’s pop-up pizza ventures and collaborations with luxury brands such as Porsche.

Oh! Pizza will serve a menu of classic pizzas and signature recipes including the bolognese; taleggio and hen of the woods; garlic prawn and nduja; and crudo and goats cheese. It will also offer rotating guest pizzas created by some of the area’s best chefs.

The menu will also include street food-inspired starters such as woodfired prawns with lemon, parsley and garlic butter; and ‘KFC’ hen of the woods with black garlic mayo, and sides such as truffle parmesan fries; pesto spaghetti and parmesan.

Desserts will features dishes such as Nutella creamaux, olive oil, sea salt and sourdough; espresso martini tiramisu; and Amalfi lemon hangover cake.

Oh! Pizza has been born out of Willdigg’s passion for Italian cuisine. The former contestant on MasterChef: The Professionals has worked in restaurants including Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Murano and at the two-starred Hibiscus under Claude Bosi.

He spent five years in Australia before returning to the UK to be Oli Martin’s right hand man at Hipping Hall.

“Oh! Pizza is a dream come true for me,” he says.

“Pizza has always been a part of my life. It reminds me of being with my family, and I believe everyone has that connection with pizza.

“I’ve always wanted to open my own pizzeria, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in Longridge to come and enjoy what we’ve created.”

The restaurant has been designed to be family friendly destination and will have a dedicated kids’ play area upstairs within a spacious dining room.

Fell Bistro bistro was founded by the trio in September 2022 and serves modern street food. Its last service will be 29 September.

Oh! Pizza opens on 4 October.
