The two Michelin-starred restaurant with bedrooms in Nottingham will host a guest chef series titled ‘Sat in the Kitchen with…' that will welcome back a number of the restaurant's alumni. They will include Ynyshir's Gareth Ward, Tom Spenceley and Harry Cordon from The Ledbury, and Master Sommelier Laurent Richet, who will host a dinner remembering their work together on 10 October.
As part of the commemorative series, Michel Roux Jr will join the kitchen on 18 October.
This will be followed with guest chef appearances from Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth, Clare Smyth, James Martin, Daniel Clifford and Claude Bosi, with more chefs to be confirmed.
Following the launch of the collaborative dinners, chef-patron Sat Bains and head chef John Freeman, who has worked alongside Sat for 23 years, will introduce some reimagined versions of dishes past to the menu, including its ham, egg and peas.
Sat Bains along with wife and business partner Amanda opened the restaurant under an A52 flyover on Lenton Lane in 1999. The restaurant won its first Michelin star in 2003, followed by a second in 2011. It has retained them ever since.
In 2021 its commitment to sustainable practices was recognised with a Green Michelin star.
The restaurant is currently ranked at number 69 on the list of the UK's Top 100 Restaurants.
Tables for Sat in the Kitchen with will be bookable through the restaurant’s online booking system
