He replaces chef James Goodyear, who left the Michelin-starred Soho counter restaurant on 13 July, saying he was “moving onto the most amazing new chapter”.
Sam has worked in some of London’s top restaurants, including at two Michelin-starred venues Restaurant Story and The Clove Club. Most recently he led the kitchen team as head chef at Muse, with the restaurant earning its first Michelin star during his tenure.
“Delighted to announce that from September I will be taking the reins at Evelyn’s Table,” he said on Instagram.
“Looking forward to this next chapter in my career.”
Goodyear was named head chef of Evelyn’s Table in November 2022 following the departure of Luke Selby and his siblings, who launched the restaurant with owners Zoe and Layo Paskin.
Evelyn’s table will be closed from 17 August until 4 September, when Sam takes over the kitchen.
