Spanish restaurant group Ibérica has become the latest hospitality brand to launch into retail.

The group, which operates restaurants in London and Leeds, has created a delicatessen range which will be available online and in selected Sainsbury’s stores from today (31 July).

Two years in the making, the range comprises 100% Ibérico jamón; 100% Ibérico chorizo; an artisan cheese and cured meat selection pack; and an Ibérico cured meat selection pack.

“This partnership allows us to share our passion for authentic Spanish cuisine with a wider audience, providing them with high-quality products that reflect the true flavours of Spain,” says Marcos Fernandez Pardo, CEO of Ibérica Restaurants.

“For 15 years, led by Michelin-starred chef Nacho Manzano we have redefined Spanish cuisine in the UK, now, customers can experience the quality that have made us a staple in the sector.”

Ibérica is part of a growing number of restaurants that have taken an omnichannel approach and moved into the retail space. In May The Real Greek made its debut in Tesco stores with a 15-strong retail range and Pizza Express is opening a ‘Pizza Express Pod’ at a Tesco Extra store in Bursledon, Southampton, to further increase its retail footprint.

“After just over two years of development, this collaboration marks a significant milestone for us as we extend our passion for Spanish cuisine beyond our restaurants and into homes across the country,” adds Jamie Brooker, head of sales and marketing at Ibérica Restaurants.
