Simon Shaw’s Mills Hill Developments Limited (MHDL) is to launch a second site under its competitive socialising concept Black Cat Club in Leeds.

The group is to convert its El Gato Negro restaurant on Park Row, which closed last month, and relaunch it under the new concept in September.

It follows the success of Black Cat Clubs first outpost in Manchester, which launched back in March.

“We are excited to reveal the second site of Black Cat Club in Leeds on Park Row,” says Shaw.

“Thanks to the incredible success of our first Black Cat Club concept site which opened this March in Manchester, we’re ready to go again and bring this high energy and premium concept to Leeds.”

As with the Manchester site, Black Cat Club Leeds will combine darts and shuffleboard and also feature multiple screens showing live sports including football, rugby, cricket, F1 and golf.

There will also be weekly events including a Monday night quiz; live music on Thursday and Friday evenings; and DJ takeovers on Saturdays and Sundays.

MHDL will be revealing a newly developed menu of bar snacks, which will include favourites from Black Cat Club Manchester such as buttermilk chicken bites with curry mayonnaise; salt and pepper ribs; and dirty fries.

“Black Cat Club strives to bring the community together through contemporary food, gaming and an unrivalled entertainment experience in luxurious settings, like no other,” adds Shaw.

MHDL continues to operate El Gato Negro restaurants in Manchester and Liverpool, as well as a single site under its Mediterranean tapas brand Canto in Manchester.
