Restaurant Eats Out: Central London

Restaurant took a group of operators to check out three hot places to eat in Marylebone and Mayfair.

Honey & Co. Daily

Launched last year, Honey & Co. Daily follows the success of Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich’s nearby Honey & Co. and Honey & Smoke. The space is divided into two sections: a deli and takeaway area to the front and a casual 40-seater restaurant to the rear. The menu is focused on pastry chef Packer’s Middle Eastern bakes including pastries, lachma, cakes and breads alongside salads, shakshukas and dips.

Yamabahçe

Created by legendary restaurateur Alan Yau (Hakkasan, Yauatcha, Busaba Eathai), Yamabahçe offers a tight menu of authentic Turkish street food in a casual, fast-paced setting. Key dishes include pide and lahmacun flat breads, manti dumplings and a selection of wood-grilled meats. It is the most casual restaurant concept Yau has created to date with an average spend of less than £15 at lunch.

Kwãnt

This glam Mayfair spot was founded by famed bartender Erik Lorincz, who was previously at The Savoy’s acclaimed American Bar. Pronounced like quaint, the tropically- styled Kwãnt offers a finely-tuned list of hyper creative cocktails alongside a tight but equally thoughtful food menu with dishes including scallop with truffle, yoghurt and walnut; and beef cheek- packed tacos with cheddar pickled onion and shiso.
