Jason Atherton will open a gourmet hot dog restaurant within Harrods next month.

Hot Dogs by Three Darlings will be a 25-seat restaurant that will serve a range of five gourmet hot dogs, inspired by flavours from around the world, alongside a selection of fries, sundaes, milkshakes, Martinis, champagne, wine and beer.

There will also be a rotating celebrity endorsed hot dog available, with proceeds donated to charity.

The new restaurant is one of a number being launched by Atherton and his wife Irha in the coming months and which also includes neighbourhood style bistro Three Darlings. Opening on Pavilion Road in Chelsea in mid August, the 85-cover restaurant pays homage to the Athertons’ three daughters and will serve a seasonally driven modern English menu ‘infused with European influences and healthy fare from around the world’.

Atherton will also open Sael in September at St James’ Market with chef Dale Bainbridge, current executive chef at Pollen Street Social. He is also due to open a restaurant in Mayfair’s Bruton Place with former The Ritz head chef Spencer Metzger understood to be involved in the project.

In March, Atherton announced that Pollen Street Social will close on 31 July.

“After announcing the closure of Pollen Street Social in March, now feels like the right time to reveal our expansion of The Social Company in London. We think that these four very different offerings will each appeal and bring distinct culinary experiences to our guests. We’re also very excited to have Dale Bainbridge on board at launch,” say the pair.

“For us, London’s dining scene is one of the best in the world and the city’s diverse population and its appreciation for innovative dining experiences create an ideal environment for new culinary ventures to flourish.”

Hot Dogs by Three Darlings will open on 15 July.
