Zensho Holdings, the owner of Snowfox Group, has launched its first new brand into the UK since acquiring the YO! operator last year.

Ichikokudo Hokkaido Ramen is making its UK debut at 59 Wardour Street in London's Soho. It was secured by property agency CDG Leisure.

Zensho already operates 59 locations under the brand in Japan and eight in Singapore.

The Japanese foodservice group acquired Snowfox from Mayfair Equity Partners in June 2023 in a deal worth £495m.

Zensho also operates Japanese curry house brand Coco’s Ichibanya, which has two locations in London.

Announcing the opening on LinkedIn, CDG Leisure said the concept would be 'popping up everywhere' soon.

Ichikokudo Hokkaido Ramen is described as only using 'the most authentic ingredients' in its dishes, including premium Hokkaido kelp and a fusion of mackerel and bonito fish.

Zensho is the number one foodservice company in Japan by sales, with more than 10,000 outlets globally, trading from around different 130 companies.

Snowfox, which also operates the Bento and Panku brands, announced earlier this year that it was looking for franchise partners for its 500-strong estate of sushi kiosks, which have been successfully trading in Asda and Tesco under the Yo! Sushi and Panku brands.
