Jason Atherton is to open a neighbourhood-style bistro on Pavilion Road in London’s Chelsea.

Details on the new venture are limited, but in an Instagram post Atherton confirmed the restaurant’s name will be Three Darlings and described the concept as ‘seasonal, stylish, yet joyously casual dining’.

It will run in partnership with Atherton’s wife and business co-director, Irha.

Three Darlings is the second planned opening announced by Atherton in as many months.

In early May it was confirmed that the chef restaurateur had taken over the former Aquavit site in London’s St James’s Market development for a new British brasserie concept called Sael, which is expected to launch this summer.

Sael will 'celebrate all things British' with a menu that features only ingredients sourced from the British Isles.

The kitchen will be led by chef Dale Bainbridge, who has worked with Atherton for a decade and is currently the executive chef at his Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant Pollen Street Social, which is set to close next month after a 13 year run.

Atherton, whose Social Company group operates around 15 restaurants globally, is understood to have at least a further two projects lined up for London, including a venture in Mayfair with Spencer Metzger, who stepped away from his role as head chef at The Ritz in August last year.
