KöD Soho will launch in mid July and will be based on the same format as its sister restaurant, KöD City in Devonshire Square, but with a few new additions and differences.
The name KöD means meat in Danish and is pronounced similarly to ‘cool’.
The new restaurant will serve a range of grass-fed, minimum 35 day-aged steaks and will offer the limitless steak Sunday Roast that is currently available at KöD City.
Behind the brand is London-based founding partner Morten P Ortwed who, along with five friends, launched KöD in Denmark in 2014 before expanding into Norway.
KöD City opened in the UK in March 2023.
Running the kitchen operations for all UK KöD restaurants is James Durrant, who previously worked for Gordon Ramsay Holdings and The Stafford Hotel.
Morten’s wife Catrine Ortwed will be a part of the restaurant management team when the restaurant opens in July.
KöD Soho will be the eighth restaurant under the KöD brand, joining three sites in Denmark - two in Copenhagen and one in Aarhus - as well as three Norway venues.
DiningSix operates eight brands in total, including 22 restaurants across several countries.
