Leo and Roobs cafe to open in Salford
The team behind Salford pub The Black Friar is launching a sister venue and neighbourhood café next month.

Leo and Roobs will be located in the Blackfriars area of Salford, close to Deansgate, and will open its doors to the public on 10 June.

The new project is named after the owner’s children Leo and Ruby and has been designed to be family friendly.

Open from early morning to afternoon, menu items will include classic brunch dishes as well as salads, wraps and toasties. Its signature dish will be house-baked crumpets, featured in several dishes, including the Leo’s Stack, which includes a sausage patty, poached egg, American cheese and tomato chutney.

Also available will be a range of specialty coffees, including matcha and Vietnamese, juices and smoothies, and brunch cocktails.

“Leo and Roobs will be a fantastic addition to the area," says head chef Morgan Lane.

"The Black Friar team have loved getting to know the neighbours, so we hope to see lots of familiar faces (and some new ones!) at the café. We can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on with you all.”

Leo and Roobs will also have a coffee hatch offering a takeaway service.
