Spanning more than 30,000sq ft, the ‘multi-concept destination’ is one of three new major openings planned by Big Fang this year, with the group also set to expand into Bristol and Nottingham.
First launched in 2016, Big Fang already operates six sites under its Golf Fang brand in Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield and Cardiff.
News of the group’s expansion plans comes after it secured £5.5m in growth capital from alternative lender ThinCats back in February to support its expansion plans.
In a statement, the group said: “We are excited to be able to confirm that we are in the process of launching new sites in Bristol, Nottingham and London. The cities provide the perfect location for the Big Fang brand, with creative communities and thriving atmospheres, we think we will fit right in.
“We’re still to confirm the Big Fang brands launching in each site, but we’re planning multi-concept venues that bring together immersive experiences for our audiences. We look forward to sharing more about our growth journey in each city.”
Big Fang’s core concept, called Golf Fang, combines crazy golf courses with DJs and cocktail bars inside a ‘cathedral of graffiti’.
In the last year the group has expanded its proposition with multiple other concepts including in-house pizzeria Nothing Cheezy, and Big Fang Karaoke, an immersive karaoke destination, both of which launched in Liverpool in 2023.
The group also recently launched its first Big Fang Arcade at its Sheffield venue, which will be rolled out into its Cardiff outpost later this month too.
In September last year, Big Fang appointed a new CEO and revealed plans to open six new sites over the next two years as part of an ambition to ‘secure a presence in every major UK city’ by 2025.
Big Fang also operates Birdies Bar in Birmingham.
