The pan-Asian restaurant chain opened its first new site of the year in Bentley Bridge in Wolverhampton today (5 February) with new sites set to follow this year in locations including St Enoch’s in Glasgow, Epsom, Doncaster, Chatham in Kent, and Watford, which are due to open between February and May.
The projected new opening count for 2024 is up on the previous year, when the brand opened six new restaurants across the UK.
“We’re proud to be opening ten new sites in the UK in 2024. The past year has been an exciting year for us where we’ve evolved the brand through innovative new menu launches bringing new dishes such as vegan k-dogs, Korean-style hot pots and gochujang rice bowls to our benches whilst also launching new brand collaborations such as our slow fashion uniform partnership with Pangaia,” says chief executive Thomas Heier.
“Our teams have done an excellent job in continuing to elevate our guest experience and we very much look forward to welcoming more guests to our benches as we head into 2024.”
Wagamama operates more than 170 restaurants across the UK since the brand’s launch in London 32 years ago.
