Indian gastropub group Tap & Tandoor is to open its fourth site later this month.

The brand will open in Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays in the site that was previously home to Coast to Coast, marking the first Indian offering at the port side development.

Tap & Tandoor specialises in craft beers, cocktails and Indian food including small plates, such as amritsari fish, chilli paneer, and naan sliders, as well as tandoor dishes, and home-style curries. It also offers a mixed grill that is a selection of hiriyali chicken tikka, chicken wings, chicken tikka, lamb chops, and seekh kebab.

Craft beers on tap at the Portsmouth restaurant will include options from local breweries including Staggeringly Good in Portsmouth, and True Story Brewing Co from Westbury in Wiltshire as well as those from further afield.

Tap & Tandoor first opened its doors in Solihull in 2018, taking on the former Saddlers Arms pub. This was followed by the launch of a Peterborough restaurant in 2019. The group opened its third restaurant, in Southampton, in 2022.
