Burger slinger Patty & Bun is to become the latest UK-based restaurant operator to open an outpost in Dubai.

The group will launch in the city in the coming months, marking its first international location.

Patty & Bun operates a total of 10 sites in the UK, nine of which are in London with one in Brighton.

Of its London sites, seven are standalone restaurants on James Street, Richmond Road, Borough High Street, Canary Wharf, Northcote Road, Kingly Street and Liverpool Street, with the other two located within food halls run by mini golf operator Swingers.

Last year the group, which was founded by Joe Grossmann back in 2012, had proposals approved for a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).

Patty & Bun is the latest in a growing number of UK restaurant groups eyeing expansion opportunities in Dubai.

Others include Permanently Unique, which is looking to launch its own venture in the city this year; San Carlo, which partnered with Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG) to open Signor Sassi there last year; and LSL Capital, which recently announced plans to establish outposts in Dubai for both its Jamavar and MiMi Mei Fair restaurant brands.
