Located on Broad Street in the centre of the city, The Store will be located in the building that was formerly home to Boswells, one of the world’s oldest department stores.
The hotel’s restaurant will be called Treadwell - not to be confused with Chantelle Nicholson’s now-closed London restaurant Tredwells - and is described as being ‘untraditionally British’.
The restaurant will use sustainably sourced produce from local suppliers and is said to bring ‘unexpected multicultural influences to quintessentially British dishes’. Dishes on the menu will include chicken tikka masala pie, with gunpowder new potatoes and makhani jus; and The Store Cheeseburger with double smoked applewood cheddar, Cotswold chorizo and jalapeno jam, pickles, seasoned fries.
Located on the ground floor, The Bar at The Store will have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Broad Street, and an adjacent fireside snug. The venue will play host to a range of pop-ups, themed to the season and occasion.
On the top of the hotel will be The Roof bar and terrace that will host a series of pop-ups throughout the year such as an oyster and champagne pairing, as well as wood-fired pizzas.
The bar offer will centre on eight classic cocktails - Cosmopolitan, Bramble, Manhattan, Espresso Martini, Negroni, Gimlet, Old Fashioned, and Mojito - that will include three variations for each.
