Dubbed a ‘tikeasy’ - a combination of a speakeasy and tiki bar - the 35-seater venue will open on Seel Street on 19 October and will serve a globe trotting cocktail menu inspired by owner Daniel Cunningham’s travels around the world with a menu including sections of drinks from specific regions including the Middle East, South East Asia and the Americas.
It will be home to a cocktail lab, where Cunningham will make coulis, infusions, syrups, creams, liqueurs, bitters and jams for the cocktails.
The food element of Danny C’s will be provided by pop-up operator Bitter Social, with dishes to include cheesy nachos with mole, salsa verde and American-style cheese; bone marrow pasta with cafe de Paris cavatelli; and stuffed caprese with peeled tomatoes, stuffed mozzarella, basil oil and white balsamic.
There will also be an oyster menu and desserts including whipped cheesecake with berry compote, stock citrus curd and biscuit.
“Our menu caters for all; there’s a selection of unique cocktails from around the globe which have been created to evoke nostalgia and bring back really happy memories for our guests if they’ve visited the destinations,” says Cunningham.
“For those who prefer classic cocktails, we’ll have an extensive list of your favourites that are expertly made by our team with all ingredients being handcrafted in our very own cocktail lab to maximise flavour.”
