Nico Simeone is heading to Birmingham for his latest restaurant.

The chef restaurateur will open at Colmore Row on 30 November in what will be the thirteenth location for the brand.

The 72-cover restaurant will serve a six-course menu that changes every six weeks, drawing inspiration from a theme, destination, or concept.

The interior design is influenced by the characteristics of the six-legged dragonfly, including its body shape, colour, and natural habitat. To pay tribute to Birmingham’s industrial heritage and the pioneering work of Boulton and Watt, components of the steam engine will form subtle historical nods with materials such as iron, timber and blackened metal set to feature.

"We’ve launched many restaurants across the UK, but we’re thrilled to be bringing the concept to the second city," says Simeone.

"Birmingham’s culinary scene has gone from strength to strength, and we can’t wait to join with a bang into the centre of it all.”

The first Six by Nico opened in Finnieston in 2017. The brand has locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, London Fitzrovia, London Canary Wharf, Leeds, Cardiff, Belfast, Dublin, and Aberdeen.
